A man was rushed to hospital with “significant injuries” after a targeted attack in Ayr in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 23-year-old victim was assaulted at an address on Princes Court in the town around 1am. He was subsequently taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. Police Scotland is treating the incident as a serious assault and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Graham Cuthill stated that the man had sustained significant injuries in what appears to be a deliberate attack.
