Sadly, the 65-year-old man was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Medics attempted emergency treatment and CPR, but were unable to save the man, according to the Liverpool Echo.
A 52-year-old man from Toxteth was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder and has been taken into police custody for questioning. The incident is being treated as unexplained, and an investigation is currently underway. Forensic officers have arrived at the scene on Spellow Lane, not far from Goodison Park, where police and forensics are actively working. A cordon remains in place, and house-to-house inquiries are being conducted.
