‘Popular’ Scots RAF man, 21, hailed after tragic death as Lossiemouth colleagues ‘devastated’

A well-liked Scottish RAF serviceman, David Enbom, aged 21, is being honoured following his untimely passing, leaving his colleagues at RAF Lossiemouth devastated. David tragically died over the weekend, on Saturday, November 21, which has deeply affected those who knew him. He is survived by his mother Donna, father Steven, and sister Chelsie. David, also known as Davey, joined the Royal Air Force in 2023, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, and served in the Engineering and Logistics Wing. He had attended St Geradine’s Primary School and Lossiemouth High School before completing his initial training at RAF Halton the previous year. In August 2023, he returned to Moray for his first posting.

His colleagues at RAF Lossiemouth have paid tribute to him as a “sharp-witted character with a real spark.” Wing Commander Sharon Evelegh-Hall described David as an “extremely professional and popular individual” who significantly contributed to enhancing the social fabric of the Wing through organizing functions and volunteering for duties to support his peers.
