West Lothian’s inaugural Christmas drive-in cinema night has been announced to support CHAS, the Children’s Hospices Across Scotland. The Centre, Livingston, a prominent shopping centre, revealed their Christmas events programme aimed at raising funds and awareness for CHAS. This partnership with CHAS has been ongoing for three years, with past events including an Elf Walk and Breakfast with Santa.
This year, on December 6, The Centre, Livingston will hold its first ‘Movies Under The Stars Drive-In’ on the 3rd floor of Car Park 1. The event will feature the films Elf at 6pm and Love Actually at 9pm. Tickets are priced at £20 per car, with additional info and bookings available on the website. All proceeds from the event will be donated to CHAS.
In addition to the drive-in cinema night, kids will have the opportunity to participate in festive arts and crafts workshops on weekends leading up to Christmas. These workshops will allow children to decorate baubles under the guidance of Santa’s Elves, adding to the holiday spirit at the shopping centre.
As part of the charity partnership, CHAS will set up a pop-up stall at the shopping centre on certain dates to raise awareness and funds for their cause. Shoppers can also contribute to the charity through donation points set up by CHAS within the shopping centre.
Tess Sundberg, Marketing Manager at The Centre, Livingston expressed excitement about the Christmas events plan and the opportunity to support CHAS. Alison Rennie, Community Fundraiser at CHAS, shared her excitement for the partnership and the positive impact it will bring to children and families during the festive season.
The Centre, Livingston will also host various other activities, including an ‘Advent Calendar Spin the Wheel’ where shoppers can win prizes every day from December 1st to 24th. Social media channels will provide updates on these activities.
In conclusion, The Centre, Livingston’s Christmas events not only offer festive entertainment but also serve as a platform to raise funds and awareness for CHAS, highlighting the importance of supporting charitable causes during the holiday season.
