Police officers in Shetland have confiscated drugs valued at over £125,000 at a ferry terminal. The incident occurred when officers from Police Scotland intercepted a van at the Lerwick terminal around 7:30 am on Friday, November 29. Upon searching the van, authorities discovered approximately 1.3kg of Heroin, estimated at a street value of £65,000, and around 512g of Cocaine, valued at £64,000. Subsequently, a 44-year-old man was apprehended and charged in connection with the seizure.
The accused is set to make an appearance from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court via video link on Monday, December 2.
