After a hiatus last year due to budget constraints leading to the cancellation of the city’s traditional celebration, Stirling is gearing up for a memorable new year’s eve. The event, scheduled for December 31, promises a lineup of live music performances, dazzling fireworks, a delectable assortment of food and drinks, indoor entertainment, and light projections that will adorn the Wallace Monument in a spectacular show.
Jack McIlroy-Reid, General Manager of Stirling County, expressed enthusiasm for hosting ‘Stirling’s Hogmanay’, highlighting the significance of bringing the community together to celebrate the city’s rich heritage and unity as they welcome the new year in a festive setting. Tickets for the event are priced at £10 for children/concessions and £17.50 for adults, with doors opening at 6pm and the celebrations continuing until 2am on January 1.
Additionally, The Albert Halls on Dumbarton Road will host ‘The Big Ceilidh’, featuring The Katie Allen Trio for a traditional Scottish ceilidh from 7pm to 10pm, suitable for ages 14 and above. Tickets for this event are priced at £26 and are available for purchase online.
