A Scottish teenager who viciously stabbed a mother to death with a ‘Rambo’ knife has been sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in detention. The court heard that he had previously been charged with various offences, including drug-related crimes. On the day of the incident, the teenager got into an argument with a friend of the victim over an e-scooter. The situation escalated when the attacker pulled out a large knife and fatally stabbed Miss Davidson, who tragically did not survive the attack.
After committing the crime, the teenager fled the scene, changed his clothes in a nearby supermarket, and called his relatives to pick him up. During this time, he confessed to his aunt and uncle, stating, “I have done the crime, so I will do the time.” The court heard that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds, including a fatal blow to the back that punctured her lung. Miss Davidson, who was described as an innocent victim, left behind a child and her grieving family.
The sentencing judge described the attack as a heinous act on a vulnerable and defenseless individual in broad daylight. The teenager was ordered to be detained without limit of time for his role in the senseless and tragic killing.
