Early lung cancer signs could be spotted in urine

Scientists have made a significant breakthrough in the early detection of lung cancer by developing a new urine test. Most cases of lung cancer in England are diagnosed at later stages, which makes the disease more difficult to treat effectively. The newly developed injectable sensor interacts with zombie cell proteins, releasing a detectable compound into urine to indicate their presence. The research team, supported by funding from Cancer Research UK, is working towards creating a cost-effective and easy-to-use test for early cancer detection, as an alternative to more expensive imaging scans.
