Three more teenagers have been charged in connection with an assault on a 14-year-old boy in Slateford Green, Edinburgh. The attack took place around 8 pm on Monday, December 2, leaving the victim with serious injuries. The boy was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in the city and was reported to be in a stable condition.
Previously, two 15-year-old boys and one 17-year-old girl were arrested and charged in connection with the assault and will be reported to the relevant authorities. Police Scotland has now confirmed the arrest and charging of three additional teenagers on Monday, December 9. The three male teens, with ages of 16 and two at 17, are scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, with a report to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Gordon Couper stated that investigations are ongoing to locate all those involved in the attack. He urged anyone with information or concerns to speak to the officers in the area conducting high visibility patrols. Additionally, individuals who were present in the vicinity at the time of the incident and may have dashcam or private CCTV footage were called upon to contact the police promptly.
