News has emerged that Dumfries TV and radio broadcaster Amy Irons is set to take on a leading role in a new BBC Scotland TV show. The former St Joseph’s College pupil will co-present Reporting Scotland: News at Seven alongside Laura Maciver. The 30-minute weeknight news programme will be broadcast live from the BBC’s Pacific Quay headquarters in Glasgow, bringing stories from across Scotland in a conversational and informal manner, providing analysis and discussion on the day’s key events.
Amy and Laura will alternate presenting duties throughout the week on the new show, which is scheduled to launch on January 6.
