Pro-Palestine activists have staged a protest at a Scots weapons factory owned by Italian weapon manufacturer, Leonardo UK, in Edinburgh. The demonstration took place on Tuesday, December 10, as campaigners gathered at the factory on Crewe Road to block entry to the site. These activists aimed to disrupt the production of arms being sent to Israel, particularly parts for Israel’s F-35 Fighter Jets.
A group of activists took a stand on top of vehicles, connecting themselves together and blocking the entry gates to the factory. This action is part of ongoing efforts by the activists, who have previously targeted the plant through occupations, blockades, and acts of sabotage since October 2023. A spokesperson for Palestine Action stated, “By shutting down Leonardo, Edinburgh, these activists are preventing the production of Palestinian slaughter.”

Police Scotland has been approached for comment regarding the protest at the factory.
