A father has been sentenced to a year in prison after he attempted to smuggle 20 kilos of drugs into the country to repay a loan shark. Jack Brooks, aged 32, was caught at Manchester Airport and was found to have drugs worth £90,000 in his possession. He admitted to being under pressure to commit the crime due to his debt.
