Numark Pharmacy recently held a community open day to mark its takeover of a pharmacy in Baillieston. The pharmacy, located on Main Street, has been rebranded as Rowlands Pharmacy Baillieston. The event was a celebration of the commitment to serving the local community, with pharmacy delivery driver Allan O’Farrell cutting the ribbon to signify the start of this new chapter.
Rowlands Pharmacy Baillieston, under the management of pharmacist Andrew Cowan and a team of local colleagues, aims to continue providing essential healthcare services to the community. During the open day, a donation of £250 was made to Baillieston Community Care, a charity focused on supporting individuals’ independence within their homes and the community.
Pharmacist Andrew Cowan expressed his delight at the community’s warm reception, emphasising the pharmacy’s role as a key healthcare provider in the area. Delivery driver Allan shared his pride in supporting the pharmacy’s mission of offering vital healthcare services to the community for over 28 years.
As part of NHS Pharmacy First Scotland, Rowlands Pharmacy Baillieston will provide expert advice on a variety of common conditions, prescription services, vaccinations, and over-the-counter medications. The pharmacy’s team was on hand during the open day to engage with visitors, share information about the enhanced services, and answer any queries.
Located at 3-5 Main Street, Baillieston, the new pharmacy will operate from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
