A father-daughter duo from Renfrewshire is gearing up for an impressive charity cycle event to support Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Barrie McCutcheon, a firefighter, and his daughter Isla, an amateur road-racing cyclist, are set to participate in the Doddie Aid charity challenge next year. Isla, who has been cycling since childhood, will celebrate her 19th birthday during the 700-mile epic challenge alongside her father and a team of firefighters and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) staff.
Barrie shared how Isla developed a passion for cycling from a young age and has shown dedication and determination in her sport. Isla’s achievements include winning the British Championship at just 12 years old and being part of Scotland’s first junior women’s dedicated cycling team, the Solas Race Team.
