A young boy with aspirations of joining the police force has completed his tour of all of Scotland’s police stations with a special visit from the Chief Constable. Hamish-James O’Neil, accompanied by his proud mum Lucy, has visited over 120 police stations, spreading joy by handing out cake at each stop. Recently, Hamish and his two-year-old brother Harris were warmly received by Chief Constable Jo Farrell at the Police Scotland Headquarters in Tulliallan. Meeting with Farrell was a dream come true for Hamish, who was left star-struck by the encounter. Lucy described Hamish as super-excited and feeling very important and recognised by the Chief Constable for his efforts. During the visit, Hamish got a tour of the headquarters and witnessed officers in training, fueling his excitement for a future career in law enforcement.

Accompanied by his mother, Hamish has been travelling to different police divisions in Scotland on his days off from nursery. On his most recent visit to the Police Training Centre Jackton, Hamish was presented with his own Police Scotland uniform and even enjoyed a ride along in a police car.
