Family Pays Tribute to Beloved Member Lost in Terrible Scottish Town Accident
The heartbroken family of a Scottish father who tragically lost his life in a horrific car crash has shared touching words of remembrance for their beloved relative. Scott McFadden, described as a “son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many,” passed away after a Volkswagen Golf collided with a parked Peugeot on Clune Brae in Port Glasgow at 9:55 pm on December 16. Despite the rapid response of emergency services, Scott, aged 38 and a passenger in the Golf, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing, with a 50-year-old woman having been arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently released pending further enquiries.
In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Scott’s grief-stricken family have set up a GoFundMe page in his honour to help with funeral expenses. Fiona McFadden, the organiser of the fundraiser, shared: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of Scott Mcfadden on Monday, December 16th, 2024. Scott was a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.” The family expressed their gratitude for any support extended during this difficult time and asked for thoughts and prayers to be with Scott, his loved ones, and friends.
Sergeant Robert Mackie from the Road Policing Unit in Dumbarton extended condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are with Scott McFadden’s family and friends at this difficult time.
