Elizabeth Kennedy, a 70-year-old woman from Paisley, has been tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident on New Year’s Eve. The incident occurred on Barrhead Road, just east of Ladykirk Crescent around 7pm. Elizabeth died at the scene after being struck by a white car that did not stop after the collision.
Police have identified the white vehicle involved in the hit-and-run and are appealing to the public for any information that could help locate the driver. Detective Inspector Jan MacColl expressed condolences to Elizabeth’s family and friends and assured that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident.
