Children’s entertainer, Demi Leigh Wilson, discovered she had a brain tumour through the NHS app, revealing her journey of diagnosis and resilience. Wilson, a 24-year-old from Liverpool, had been suffering from severe period pains for most of her life. When the pain became unbearable, her customers urged her to seek medical attention. Wilson shared, “It did start off with my periods and it was getting to a point where I was very ill in bed.”

In October 2024, after an MRI scan, she received the life-changing news that she had a brain tumour. Wilson recalls, “When I found out it was a brain tumour, I never got a call. I actually found out on the NHS app. I never thought in a million years it would be a brain tumour.”

Despite the shocking diagnosis, Wilson remains optimistic about her future and her children’s party business. She started her entertainment business at the age of 14 and has since found solace in bringing joy to children through her performances.
