Linlithgow and District 41 Club members host annual quiz

Linlithgow and District 41 Club members recently gathered at Linlithgow Golf Club to host their annual quiz night, as reported by the Daily Record. The event saw five teams enthusiastically participating in what turned out to be a delightful amalgamation of fun and intellect.

Captained by Sean McMahon, ‘Team73’ clinched the victory with team members Pat McCourt and Laurence Kenny, after engaging in a closely contested battle of wits against the other teams. The quiz, designed to be both entertaining and mind-bending, truly put the participants’ general knowledge to the test.

Acknowledgements were made to quizmaster George Wilson for his efforts in curating an engaging and varied quiz that kept everyone on their toes throughout the night. Additionally, the club warmly welcomed new member Alan Nutt into their fold.

During the event, long service medals were presented to Douglas McEwan, Charles Corser, and Gordon Beetham, recognising their over 30 years of dedicated service within the club. Chairman Malcolm Brebner led the presentation, honouring the commitment and contribution of these longstanding members.

As the club members bonded over friendly competition and camaraderie, the annual quiz night proved to be a memorable and enjoyable evening for all attendees.
