An American writer living in Edinburgh has expressed her heartbreak over the devastation caused by wildfires in her former home in the Pacific Palisades. Jess Ross, 42, along with her husband Aaron, 53, and six of their 10 children, relocated to Scotland’s capital in January 2020 after living in Los Angeles for 15 to 20 years. Learning about the wildfires, Jess Ross shared her initial reaction, “What would have been the first thing we grabbed after the children and the pets?” She reflected on the loss of their cherished memories, including the place where she met her husband and where their children grew up.
With more than 10,000 homes and structures destroyed by the wildfires since Tuesday, Aaron Ross plans to travel to Los Angeles at the end of January to assist with relief efforts.
