A man convicted of a violent attack on his friend in Johnstone has been handed an 11-year jail term. Ross Platt, aged 48, stabbed Thomas McBrearty at a property on High Street, Johnstone, on March 23, 2023, following a dispute over money. The incident took place when Platt was involved in an argument with Aileen McIntyre, which prompted Mr. McBrearty to intervene.
