West Lothian Council is set to receive a £2 million emergency grant to address homelessness issues by accelerating home repairs and constructing new social housing. The majority of this funding will go towards the construction of six new homes in Deans South, Livingston, providing much-needed housing options for vulnerable individuals and families. Furthermore, a portion of the grant will be used to bring 50 long-term vacant properties back into use, along with the purchase of additional properties to accommodate homeless individuals.
