As part of celebrating Airdrie’s heritage, nine heritage plaques are scheduled for installation at key locations around the town: Mavisbank Park (1891), Sir John Wilson Town Hall (1912), Former Airdrie Savings Bank (1925), New Cross Airdrie (1795), The Townhouse (1825), Former Post Office (1905), Former Airdrie Public Library (1894), Former Wellwynd Church of Scotland (1847), and Airdrie Public Observatory (1896).
