The new branch will operate from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and on Saturdays from 9am-4pm.
In the interim period between the closure of the current branch and the opening of the new location, a mobile Post Office will visit Callander every Friday from February 7 to March 14. Local councillor Martin Earl has expressed worries about the adequacy of the temporary services, given the significant rural population depending on the Post Office in Callander. Earl has called for an extension of the temporary service to accommodate more days of operation.
The Post Office has confirmed that a consultation on access levels to the new premises will run until March 18, with customers invited to share their views online or via email. Despite the challenges posed by the temporary closure, the Post Office remains committed to restoring a full-time service in Callander as soon as possible. The situation has prompted a reshuffling of the mobile Post Office schedule, affecting visits in nearby areas such as Buchlyvie and Gargunnock.
