**Boy Makes Publishing History at Just Three Years Old**
In a remarkable feat, a young boy has become one of the youngest authors worldwide by publishing a book at the tender age of three. Esse Loewenthal, now five, hailing from Enfield, north London, released his picture book titled “Baby Fox” in 2023. The book showcases the adventures of a young cub and a jellyfish and highlights Esse’s creativity and storytelling skills at such a young age.
Esse’s journey as a budding author didn’t stop with just publishing a book; he also founded his own publishing house, British Isles Publishing. His father, Sholi Loewenthal, expressed immense pride in his son, noting that Esse showed a keen interest in storytelling from a very early age. Learning to read at just one-and-a-half, Esse’s passion for storytelling flourished as he started creating numerous stories, prompting his family’s efforts to get more of his works published.
Following the publication of “Baby Fox,” Esse encountered challenges when traditional publishers did not respond positively. Undeterred, he decided to take matters into his own hands and establish British Isles Publishing to share his stories with other children. While striving to get more of Esse’s stories published, the Loewenthal family remains supportive of his creative pursuits and encourages his artistic ambitions.
Despite not yet achieving the milestone required by Guinness World Records to officially become the youngest author, Esse has made significant progress by selling around 700 copies of his book. His determination and passion for storytelling have impressed many, leading to opportunities such as presenting his book to the Mayor of London and engaging with his local MP.
In addition to his writing endeavours, Esse has initiated the Very Young Authors Competition, inviting children aged eight or younger to submit their stories for a chance to be published. Through his competition and creative projects, Esse aims to inspire other young talents and foster a love for storytelling among peers.
As Esse continues to explore his passion for writing and storytelling, his aspirations include releasing his second book and conducting story workshops in local schools. His dedication to nurturing young talent and sharing the joy of storytelling reflects his remarkable creativity and determination at such a young age. Esse’s story serves as an inspiration for budding authors and showcases the power of imagination and storytelling, transcending age barriers in the literary world.
