Brother hailed as hero by sister after being murdered while protecting friend at festival
Andrew Main, a festival worker from Falkirk, tragically lost his life after bravely stepping in to protect his friend during a violent attack. Andrew, 33, succumbed to injuries sustained in a brutal assault by Joseph Dix, 26, and Macauley Ruddock, 28, in Swansea on July 17, 2024. The trio, who were in Swansea for work, crossed paths at a local bar and later encountered a fatal altercation that led to the loss of Andrew’s life.
In a heartfelt tribute, Sharon Main, Andrew’s sister, described her brother as a hero for sacrificing himself to save his friend.
