Police in Scotland have issued an urgent appeal for a missing hillwalker who was last seen on a trail. Rasa Kilikeviciute, aged 33, has been reported missing from Fort William after her last contact with family on Monday, 27 January. Authorities have reason to believe she may be on the Cape Wrath trail, which stretches from Durness in the north to Fort William in the south.
Rasa is an avid hillwalker and was spotted on Monday, 20 January, 2025, walking south on the road from Kinlochbervie to Rhiconich. Further information suggests she then travelled to the Kinlochewe area by Monday, 27 January, 2025. She was last seen wearing a bright orange waterproof jacket and carrying a large rucksack. Rasa may have a tent with her, but she also frequents bothys. Additionally, she speaks with a Lithuanian accent.
Inspector Ross McCartney expressed concern for Rasa’s well-being and emphasised the importance of locating her swiftly. He stated, “Rasa regularly goes hillwalking but it is unusual for her to not be in touch with family and friends for this length of time. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen her or has any information regarding her whereabouts to contact us. I would also appeal directly to Rasa herself, if you see this appeal, please let us know you are safe.”
