Ticketmaster Declines Invitation to Provide Evidence at Parliamentary Committee on Oasis Ticket Sales
Ticketmaster, the renowned ticket sales company, has declined an invitation to appear at a parliamentary committee investigating Oasis ticket sales. The Business and Trade Committee had extended an invitation for Ticketmaster to participate in an evidence session as part of an inquiry into fair pricing practices for concerts. However, the company cited ongoing investigations by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) into the use of dynamic pricing in the sale of Oasis tickets as the reason for their refusal.
Fans of the iconic band Oasis were left feeling mistreated after tickets were reportedly siphoned off during the initial sale, only to resurface later at significantly inflated prices.
