Households in North Lanarkshire are setting the benchmark for energy efficiency improvements, particularly crucial in the current cost-of-living crisis. Recent data from Ofgem, analysed by PE, reveals that North Lanarkshire has outpaced all other parts of Scotland in adopting energy-saving measures through the Great British Insulation Scheme. Between May 2023 and November 2024, North Lanarkshire successfully installed 335 energy-saving measures, benefiting 291 households in the area. The significant number of measures installed in North Lanarkshire has put the region at the forefront of energy efficiency improvements, ahead of Glasgow City and Fife.
