A 23-year-old woman is currently in critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Stirling, Scotland. The incident occurred on Airthrey Road, near Wallace High and Stirling University, at approximately 10 am on Thursday. The woman was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow following the collision. Fortunately, the driver of the Kia Niro involved in the accident escaped uninjured.
Road policing officers are now making an appeal for witnesses to come forward to assist in their investigation into the incident that left the pedestrian in a critical state. The road, A9 Airthrey Road, where the accident took place had to be temporarily closed to allow for crash investigations to be conducted. The road was reopened to traffic at around 2:10 pm the same day.
