Police in Paisley have charged a 35-year-old man for sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a bus stop on Causeyside Street. The incident took place in the Renfrewshire town at around 6.15pm on Monday, February 3. The man approached the 16-year-old girl at the bus stop and assaulted her before leaving the scene. Following the incident, a search was quickly launched by the police to trace the assailant.
The man is set to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date to face the charges brought against him. Authorities are also appealing for two women who were present at the bus stop and spoke to the girl to come forward with any information they may have. Detective Inspector David Tomlinson expressed gratitude to those who have already shared information and urged the two females to contact the police.
