A man has been charged after an Audi was torched in a Scottish town three months ago as the police investigation continues. Authorities confirmed that a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with wilful fire-raising in Clydebank. The incident took place around 2:10 am on Saturday, June 15, when a white Audi A3 was set ablaze on Queen Mary Crescent.
After a previous police appeal was issued in June, asking the public to report any suspicious activity or provide CCTV footage, further progress was made. On September 4, CCTV images were released by the police, potentially leading to the subsequent arrest of the suspect. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated that the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service without injuries. The man is set to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date, while investigations are still ongoing.
