Police in Cumbernauld are eager to speak to two individuals believed to be linked to a vehicle set ablaze on Saturday evening. The deliberate fire was reported at approximately 9.45pm on Hornbeam Road in the town with fortunately no injuries reported as emergency services quickly extinguished the flames.
Authorities are reaching out to the public for any information that may aid in their investigation and are particularly interested in locating two men who were spotted in the vicinity at the time, carrying a fuel can. Detective Constable David Williamson stated, “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact us. We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
