A new and extraordinary accommodation option is set to grace the landscape of Chile, as luxury cruise company Silversea announces plans to build the ‘southernmost hotel on Earth’. The hotel will be strategically located in Puerto Williams on Naravino Island in Chile, serving as a launchpad for tourists embarking on Antarctic expeditions.
Silversea, renowned for its opulent cruise ships that traverse various regions across the globe, is venturing into uncharted territory by delving into the hotel industry in one of the most remote settlements on the planet. The new 150-room hotel is part of Silversea’s endeavour to enhance the Antarctic travel experience for visitors participating in their Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise programme. Travellers will have the opportunity to fly directly from Santiago, the capital of Chile, to Puerto Williams, marking the beginning of their expedition.
In collaboration with a consortium of Chilean investors, Silversea targets the completion of the project by the end of 2025.
