A Halloween trail is set to launch in Stirling city centre this weekend, offering families the chance to embark on a spooky adventure. Go Forth Stirling BID has introduced the Halloween Trail, where participants can follow a map to discover hidden ingredients required to cast a spell at various city centre shops. Thirteen businesses across Stirling will hide ingredients such as fairy dust, a goblin’s coin, werewolf hair, and an ice crystal. To collect these items, participants need to locate the shops displaying posters in their windows indicating the special ingredient available inside. Upon visiting the shops, participants can obtain the ingredient from a small cauldron. Once all ingredients are gathered, they should be taken to the Go Forth office on Baker Street, transformed into a Witch’s Workshop, where a spell will be cast to turn the ingredients into a small prize.
The Halloween Trail map is available online as well as at Stirling Central Library and the Book Nook in Upper Craigs. The Go Forth office is open during the week from 9 am to 6 pm, with special opening hours on Saturday, October 19 and 26. Additionally, Stirling’s businesses are gearing up to welcome witches, wizards, and goblins for a City Centre Guising day on Saturday, October 26, from noon to 4 pm. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best Halloween costumes and explore various shops for tricks and treats.
Moreover, a Wand Making Workshop will be organised at the bottom of King Street for a unique souvenir experience. To add to the Halloween ambiance, the Athenaeum on King Street will be illuminated with spooky projections from sunset until 10 pm on October 26 and 27.
