An urgent search is underway in Paris after a 17-day-old prematurely born baby boy was abducted from a hospital in the city. The child, named Santiago, requires constant medical attention, adding to the urgency of locating him quickly.
The parents of the baby have been identified as the main suspects in the abduction. Descriptions provided by the Interior Ministry detail the suspects as a 23-year-old man in dark jeans, a white T-shirt, a light blue denim jacket, and a black overcoat, and a 25-year-old woman in a white jumper, a light blue sleeveless jacket, and a green skirt.
Authorities have issued alerts across various media platforms, including radio, television, and online, seeking any information that could help in finding the baby. He was last seen dressed in white velvet pyjamas and an oversized brown T-shirt. The police have released photos of the suspects, who are believed to be the baby’s parents.
According to a manager at the Robert-Ballanger hospital, the parents were seen leaving the neonatology department without the baby but carrying a simple bag. This behavior did not initially raise suspicions among the hospital staff, as it was common for parents to carry items for their newborns.
