The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation recently revealed the recipients of the 2024 “genius grant.” The 22 fellows selected will each be awarded a grant of $800,000 over five years to utilise as they see fit. – Johnny Gandelsman, a musician from New York, reimagines classical works with innovative techniques.
– Sterlin Harjo, a filmmaker from Oklahoma, delves into Native American community narratives.
– Juan Felipe Herrera, a poet and educator from California, expresses the Mexican-American experience through bilingual works.
