Strictly winner Hamza delights Stirling crowds as he launches new book

Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin delighted the crowds in Stirling as he launched his new book ‘Hamza’s Wild World’ at the Albert Halls. The book focuses on his experiences as a wildlife cameraman, with a portion of the proceeds set to go to Dyslexia Scotland charity. The event, which took place on Monday night, saw Hamza share his journey of overcoming dyslexia and gaining the confidence to write books. Interviewed by scriptwriter Cat Hepburn, Hamza talked about the importance of sending positive messages to young people with learning differences. Attendees had the chance to meet Hamza and purchase signed copies of his book.

Expressing his delight to be working with Dyslexia Scotland again, Hamza said, “It’s so important to send out positive messages to younger people about making the most of their learning difference.” He also mentioned his pride in supporting Dyslexia Scotland through his book sales. The event was sponsored by the Smiddy Farm Shop, near Blairdrummond, where dyslexic employee Marc Ingram was named Scottish Apprentice of the Year. Dyslexia Scotland’s CEO, Cathy Magee, commended Hamza for raising awareness about dyslexia and thanked him for contributing the book sale profits to support their cause.
