In the weeks leading up to her death, Amber disclosed that her mother was plagued by panic attacks due to threats made against them, causing her mum to express that she did not want to live anymore but decided against self-harm as she did not want to leave her daughter alone. An ex-partner, Stuart Sumnall, shared details about spending time with Ms Parton before her passing, recounting an argument they had which resulted in her distress. Following their disagreement, Mr Sumnall witnessed Ms Parton on a video call near a railway line and immediately alerted the authorities. Despite efforts to intervene, Ms Parton tragically took her own life that day. Post-mortem toxicology results revealed alcohol and signs of cocaine use in her system.
