Bukayo Saka sends warning to Arsenal’s title rivals: ‘This is our year’

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka Optimistic About Winning Premier League Title

Arsenal’s young winger, Bukayo Saka, has expressed confidence in Arsenal’s ability to clinch the Premier League title this season. Following their 2-0 victory over Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League, Saka believes his team is primed for a successful campaign.

Having finished as runners-up in the previous two seasons and narrowly missing out on the title to Manchester City last season, Arsenal is determined to end their 21-year drought without a Premier League title. Currently sitting third in the league standings, Arsenal’s convincing win against PSG has strengthened their belief in their title credentials, with goals from Kai Havertz and Saka sealing the victory.

Saka shared his optimism with CBS Sports, stating, “I don’t want to put too much pressure on us but I do think that this is the year [that we can win the title]. I think we’ve been close the last two years, and we’re getting closer but this hopefully will be the year.”

The 23-year-old, who emerged as a key player for Arsenal and was their top scorer in the Premier League last season, revealed that past near misses have fueled his desire for success. “Previous years, I’ve come runners-up a lot. It’s just that spirit in me that I want to win this season, and of course, I believe in myself a lot,” Saka shared with Amazon Prime.

Emphasizing the team’s belief in themselves as a top-tier side, Saka highlighted the significance of making a statement against formidable opponents like PSG. Arsenal’s next challenge is hosting 19th-placed Southampton on Saturday as they aim to continue their fine form domestically and in Europe.

In conclusion, Saka’s optimism and determination reflect Arsenal’s ambition to secure the Premier League title this season, as they strive to build on their recent successes and establish themselves as champions in English football.
