Hunt for Scots Robber Wearing Surgical Gloves After Terrifying Shop Incident
Cops are on the lookout for a Scottish robber who donned surgical gloves during a frightening incident at a shop. The robbery occurred at a location on Main Road in Condorrat, Cumbernauld, at approximately 8.25 pm on December 18. A man entered the premises, threatened a staff member, coerced them to open the cash register, and made off with a sum of money towards Condorrat Ring Road. Police swiftly responded to the scene, conducting a thorough search of the vicinity. However, investigations are ongoing to identify and track down the perpetrator.
Described as a white male with a heavy build, the suspect was dressed in a black jacket with a green or grey hoodie underneath, hood up, a black face covering, blue surgical gloves, black trousers, and white trainers. He spoke with a Scottish accent. Detective Constable Scott Archer from Coatbridge CID stated, “Fortunately no-one was injured as a result of this incident, but it was an incredibly frightening experience for the staff member involved.” Archer urged anyone who may have witnessed a man matching the description or noticed any suspicious activity to come forward. He also appealed to those with private CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to assist in the investigation.
