Oasis have announced the addition of four new dates to the North American leg of their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour. The Manchester band, fronted by Noel and Liam Gallagher, initially revealed shows in the US, Canada and Mexico in September, following the successful sell-out of venues across the UK and Ireland.
On Wednesday, they confirmed new dates in Toronto, Canada; Los Angeles, California; East Rutherford, New Jersey; and Mexico City, Mexico. Each city will now host two nights of performances, with special guest Cage The Elephant joining them for all North American dates. This tour marks Oasis’ return to the continent after 16 years since their last performance.
Photos of massive billboards displaying the phrase “Be careful what you wish for” were unveiled by the British rock band over the weekend in various locations worldwide, stirring up excitement among fans. General tickets for the newly added North American dates will go on sale on Friday, October 4 at 12pm local time through Ticketmaster.
The announcement of the North American leg of the reunion tour followed an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) into Ticketmaster’s handling of ticket sales in the UK and Ireland. Fans had expressed dismay after facing inflated prices due to Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” scheme, which adjusts fees based on demand.
In response to concerns about ticket pricing, Oasis confirmed that they would not be adopting Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model for their North American tour. Their management stated that while dynamic pricing can be beneficial in combatting ticket resale, it can lead to issues when coupled with high demand and technology limitations, as seen in the UK and Ireland.
Oasis, which formed in 1991 in Manchester, achieved great success before disbanding in 2009 amid tensions between the Gallagher brothers. Following their reunion announcement, the band’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, topped the UK album charts in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
Fans eagerly await the opportunity to see Oasis live once again as they prepare for their North American tour in 2025.
