Two teenage boys have been charged with attempted murder in Edinburgh following an incident that took place on Bath Street in Portobello. Emergency services responded to the scene around 6.40pm on Friday, 10 January, where an 18-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. A 16-year-old male was arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder. Additionally, a 17-year-old male, who was previously arrested, has now also been charged in relation to the incident.
Both teenagers are scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 14 January. Detective Inspector Dougal Begg expressed appreciation for the public’s assistance in the investigation and urged anyone with further information to come forward.
