Bridgerton Ball turns into royal flop as attendees demand refunds for $150 tickets

The Detroit Bridgerton Ball event turned into a royal disappointment for attendees who demanded refunds for their $150 tickets. Dozens of Bridgerton fans were left outraged when they arrived at the event to find undercooked food, no dancing, and a lone violinist. Some attendees had paid $250 for a premium package that included valet service, dinner, and music, but the actual experience fell far short of expectations.

People who had dressed in regency garb ready to immerse themselves in the world of the popular Netflix series were met with lacklustre decor and a solo violinist instead of the promised string quartet. Photos and videos from the event showed attendees, adorned in elegant ball gowns, sitting bored on the floor scrolling through their phones.

One particularly odd decision was the inclusion of an exotic dancer performing a pole routine at the period ball, leaving many attendees bewildered. Disappointed ticket-holders shared their frustration on social media, calling the event “heartbreaking” after months of anticipation.

The event, organised by Uncle & Me LLC, had promised a night reminiscent of Bridgerton with classical music, a play, and the selection of a “Diamond of the season,” yet none of these elements materialised. Some attendees reported feeling misled by the event’s itinerary, which was far from the reality they encountered.

Uncle & Me LLC disabled comments on their social media posts following the backlash, with some attendees accusing the company of being disorganised and dishonest. One person even claimed they were not refunded for a previous cancellation, sparking further outrage online.

The owners of the venue, the Harmonie Club, clarified that they were not involved in the event’s planning and programming, distancing themselves from the organisers. Uncle & Me LLC issued a statement taking “full responsibility and accountability” for the disappointment at the event, expressing regret for the organisational challenges faced.

Attendees and ticket buyers are now left wondering if they will receive refunds for their experience. Uncle & Me LLC promised to review resolution options and communicate with attendees shortly, aiming to make amends for the failed Bridgerton Ball event in Detroit.
