Nick Knowles forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing after suffering second injury

Nick Knowles, the popular DIY SOS star, has been forced to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing’s upcoming Movie Week show after suffering a second injury. The 62-year-old celebrity, who had already been dealing with a shoulder injury, faced another setback when he fell and hurt his knee during a dress rehearsal on Friday, 4th October.

Currently partnered with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk on the dance competition show, Knowles is now using crutches to walk and won’t be able to perform in this weekend’s episode. A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing confirmed the news, stating that due to the injury, Knowles and Mushtuk will receive a bye through to next week with hopes that he will recover in time to dance again.

According to reports from The Sun, the incident occurred when Knowles was in a dress rehearsal with Mushtuk and landed awkwardly after a jump, resulting in the knee injury. The Strictly team is providing support for Knowles, arranging scans and ensuring his well-being amidst the setback.

Had he been able to compete, Knowles would have presented a Charleston routine to the song “Rain on the Roof” from Paddington 2 during the Movie Week episode. This injury adds to a series of mishaps for Knowles, as he previously shared on Instagram about his first injury – a shoulder and arm issue sustained while changing a tyre on the motorway.

Fans of the show have expressed their disappointment over Knowles’ withdrawal from the Movie Week episode, with many showing support and wishing him a speedy recovery. There are calls for special considerations in light of his dual injuries, with some suggesting a waiver for elimination this week due to the unforeseen circumstances.

Nick Knowles’ journey on Strictly Come Dancing has been marred by unexpected challenges, but his determination and resilience have been evident throughout. As he focuses on recuperating from his latest injury, fans await his return to the dance floor with optimism and encouragement.
