As they are on stage completing the challenge, a crowd gathers around them, with diners taking photos and filming Ferrell. The actor expresses his discomfort, stating, “As much as I’ve been in a fishbowl in various times in my life, this trumps all of it.”
The documentary highlights the transphobic abuse Steele faced on social media following their public outing at the steakhouse. In a heartfelt moment in the car the next day, Steele shares her feelings of discomfort and vulnerability, as she felt her trans identity was put on display during the encounter.
