Wendy’s is set to launch a new collaboration that will bring Krabby Patties, well-known from the popular Nickelodeon show Spongebob SquarePants, to life. The fast-food chain revealed the exciting news in a press release on October 2, announcing its partnership with Paramount for the release of “Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab.” This collaboration is in honour of the 25th anniversary of Spongebob SquarePants.
As part of the collaboration, Wendy’s will introduce the “Krabby Patty Kollab Burger,” inspired by the classic burger served at The Krusty Krab where Spongebob works as a fry cook. The burger will consist of a quarter-pound beef patty, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, all served on a toasted premium bun. The burger will also feature a special “top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce,” paying homage to the iconic Krabby Patty recipe.
In addition to the burger, Wendy’s will offer a new twist on their famous Frosty dessert with a Spongebob-inspired flavour. The “Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty” will be a Vanilla Frosty blended with a pineapple mango flavoured puree swirl. Both the Krabby Patty and the new Frosty flavour will be available at Wendy’s locations across the US starting from October 8 for a limited time.
Fans in Los Angeles, California, will have the opportunity to experience the new meal a day early by visiting an immersive Wendy’s drive-thru experience in Panorama City on October 7. The drive-thru event will continue at the same location on October 8.
