The Stirling Science Festival has kicked off with a promise of family-friendly fun for all attendees. The festival, which runs from Thursday, October 17, to Saturday, offers a range of exciting events across various venues in Stirling. Most of the activities are free for visitors to enjoy.
Among the highlights of the three-day festival are star gazing at the Stirling Observatory, Dynamic Earth’s Planetarium show, Collage Animation workshop at The Tolbooth, and Games Design workshop at Codebase. While some events like these have already sold out, there are still plenty of engaging activities available at venues such as the Albert Halls, Thistles Centre, and the Smith Museum.
One of the main attractions is Castles Rock, an interactive show by the team from the Glasgow Science Centre that explores the science and engineering behind Scotland’s historic castles. Other exciting events include potion making at a Harry Potter Book Day, bird feeder creation, Lego building, STEM crafts, and even Benji the Bus in Bannockburn.
Stirling Council Leader, Cllr Margaret Brisley, expressed delight at the overwhelming community support for the Stirling Science Festival.
