A young father tragically lost his life during a stag do in Prague after reportedly being attacked with a vodka bottle by a stranger, an inquest revealed. David ‘Dai’ Richards, hailing from Wales, was on the trip when the incident occurred last month, as shared by Pontypridd Coroners’ Court. The 31-year-old set off with friends on September 19 for the trip. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this point, but it is believed that on the evening of September 21, an altercation took place in a street where Mr. Richards was struck on the head with a bottle. He, a father of three living with his partner and children, was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away. A preliminary post-mortem examination conducted by a doctor in Prague identified the cause of death as brain trauma, swelling, and haemorrhaging. Coroner Patricia Morgan pointed out suspicions of a violent or unnatural death in the case of the Merthyr Tydfil-born Mr. Richards, and the inquest has been adjourned for further investigation.
