Teenager appears in court after doorstep ‘murder’ of John Taylor in Kilwinning

A teenager has made a court appearance following the alleged doorstep murder of John Taylor in Kilwinning. The 44-year-old was discovered seriously injured outside his residence on Pollock Crescent in the North Ayrshire town at approximately 1:55 pm on Friday, October 18. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have classified his death as a homicide.

Kieran Lindsay, aged 19, stood before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court earlier today, facing charges related to Taylor’s murder. Lindsay, a resident of North Ayrshire, did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody for further examination. This development marks the second arrest made in connection with Taylor’s death, with 26-year-old Kiey O’Connor previously charged with murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
